We are delighted that we were able to have “in person” exams in our own studio for the first time since the pandemic started.

Our Advanced 1 students also had an historic exam at RAD HQ being one of the last sets to dance in the famous Genée studio before the RAD moves to their state of the art new building in the New Year.

We would like to take a moment to congratulate all students who took exams just before the summer holidays. We held a combination of filmed exams locally which were sent out to be marked by an RAD examiner and senior students travelled to the RAD in London to take their exams.

We are absolutely thrilled with 62% distinctions and 38% merits!  Well done to you all!

We are very excited for Marcus (pictured above) who is through to Royal Ballet School White Lodge Final Auditions which will take place in March. Marcus is also performing in Nutcracker with Birmingham Royal Ballet at the Royal Albert Hall later this month.

Ella and Zak are currently performing in a production of Annie at Roedean theatre.

Scout recently performed with Contemporary company Penny & Jules in an event organised by Project Female.

Earlier this term, Saskia performed with English Youth Ballet in their production of Nutcracker at the Hawth Theatre, Crawley.

New Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) classes started this term on Tuesdays and Thursdays. PBT is a wonderful supplement to dance training as students not only develop greater strength, but also an understanding of the how to activate muscles required for correct posture, weight placement and “turn-out” (which is a fundamental requirement for ballet as well as other forms of dance). Our first set of stylish Alta jackets will be arriving in time for Christmas for those who placed orders last month.

We are trying out a new venue this term for Wednesday classes
- St Peter’s RC Church on Portland Road, Hove, BN3 5GD. The entrance to the hall is on Tamworth Road at the corner of Portland Road. The hall has recently been refurbished.
