RAD Ballet Exams

Exam days are always a mixture of excitement and nerves as students showcase their work in front of an examiner. It takes weeks and months of hard work and preparation leading up to the big day!

Our vocational and higher grade students always love taking their exams in the beautiful studios at RAD Headquarters in London.

The students featured in this video took their RAD Grade 8 exam in November 2020. Grade 8 is the culmination of the RAD Grades so it was made even more special that during the pandemic, the students were still able to take their exam in person. We are very grateful to the RAD.

Deborah Mercer

Deborah Mercer is a highly experienced and passionate ballet teacher.  Having trained vocationally to a very high standard, she is eager to pass on her knowledge and nurture the next generation of dancers.  Deborah teaches all levels of children and adults, from beginners to advanced as well as offering audition coaching.  Some of her students are now training at some of the top vocational schools and have been accepted onto intensive courses at renowned UK and international dance schools.
