Show work has already begun! We’re very excited for our upcoming school show, Alice in Wonderland, for all pupils in Grade 1 ballet and above and all those in modern, contemporary, jazz and tap classes. 🐇😸🎩👑 We are delighted to be performing this time at the Attenborough Centre of the Creative Arts @attenboroughctr with a matinee and early evening performances on Sunday 12th July. 📣STUDENT SUCCESS: AMAZING RESULTS 📣 We’re absolutely delighted to share that Tommy has been offered an unconditional place at the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance to start on their Foundation Degree course in September. Tommy is an incredibly passionate and hardworking student. He absorbs as much as he can from every class and demonstrates artistry beyond his years. He has honed and developed his technique and artistry hugely over the past 3 and a half years and is an absolute joy to teach. Tommy has also had the following offers: • Northern School of Contemporary Dance • London School of Contemporary Dance • Central School of Ballet We are so thrilled for him receiving offers from every vocational school he applied to. 📣STUDENT SUCCESS: EXCITING FUTURE AHEAD📣 Following an intense period of auditions, we’re absolutely delighted to share that Matilda has been offered a highly sought after funded place (Dance and Drama Award known as DaDa) to start at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in September on their 6th Form Dance Course. We can also share that in addition to her funding, Tring Park has awarded Matilda the Eve Pettinger scholarship. This is such an amazing achievement and testament to Matilda’s hard work, total commitment and focus. Matilda has also had the following offers: • Acosta Dance Centre full time course • Acosta Dance Centre summer intensive scholarship • Rambert School summer intensive invitation. It has been an absolute joy to witness Matilda’s progress and growth over the past 5+ years. Matilda has worked with such incredible application to achieve her dream and is so very deserving of her success. 📣STUDENT SUCCESS: FROM DREAM TO REALITY📣 We are beyond proud to share that Zak has received an unconditional offer for the highly sought after Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance to start in September on their Foundation Degree course. We can now also share that he is the first student in 10 years to be taken directly into the SECOND YEAR! This is an exceptional achievement and a reflection of Zak’s hard work and unwavering dedication. He has remained grounded, focussed and determined every step of the way. Zak has also received the following offers: • Central School of Ballet - scholarship • Northern School of Contemporary Dance • London School of Contemporary Dance Zak has always had his heart set on going to Rambert School. And now this dream has become reality. We are so excited to follow your future progress. Alta’s Principal, Deborah Mercer, has taught Zak since the tender age of 3! 🩰Day Two🩰 For our RAD Graded ballet exams at our Brighton and Hove studio at the end of last week. It was a first exam experience some of these dancers. They were all very excited and loved it. One Grade 1 pupil said as she came out that she wanted to do it all again as it was so much fun! It always fills us with such pride and joy to see how confidently the children enter the studio, keen to show their best performances. We’ve come to the end of a busy final week of term with several days of exams and open / viewing classes. First up, we feature our day of vocational ballet exams at RAD HQ earlier this week. We’re so proud of the focus our dancers have shown over the past weeks as they have also been navigating GCSEs, A levels and in some cases vocational school auditions. 💫 On the day of the exams, they did us proud in the way they conducted themselves while sharing the warm up space with candidates from other schools, their camaraderie towards one another and how they managed inevitable nerves. A lovely day out in London recently for Tom being fitted for his first pointe shoes @bloch_eu Tom has worked hard on all his pre pointe training and is excited to progress onto pointe. It’s been quite the weekend for Tommy! First he found out Eastbourne festival awarded him the George Wilcox Memorial Cup 🏆 for the male dancer showing the most promise.
